3/25/25
Well friends, it’s been a while. I hope this post finds you well and peaceful. Are you making time for yourself? Time for Breath and Joyful Movement? Yeah, me neither. I mean I try. A short practice here, a breathing exercise there. I never seem to get in enough water but I try. Winter Blues is a real thing, and I’m just starting to emerge from the cold weather doldrums. The sun has begun shining and the grass is growing. As often as I can, I try to get my bare feet on the grass. Followed by a few deep breaths always makes me feel better.
Then there’s the world at large…
Honestly, I’ve been taking solace in community. Connecting with my fellow yoga practitioners has been a blessing. I believe that when we come together and find peace, we elevate the communal vibration. In other words, take care of yourself and you are better equipped to take care of others. To protest. To vote. To uplift your community. To survive.
We are in this together. We are stronger together. We are better together. What can you do this week for your community? Drop off some donations. Help hand out free groceries at a local church. Give the cash you have on you to the person begging on the corner. Plant some seeds with the intention of sharing the abundance of what you grow. Take a breath. Take a breath. Take a breath.
Black Cat Yoga was created as a response to the pandemic of 2020.
Although we are no longer a brick and mortar studio, our mission lives on. I will forever fight for inclusivity and accessibility in yoga. Joyful Movement is a right, not a luxury. Currently, we have three monthly classes and one weekly class on the schedule. Please see the “Pop Up Classes” tab on the website for details.
I hope to see you soon.
All the Love,
Jenny
